Default Alright I know some of you HAVE to have read "50 Shades of Grey" by now: (NSFW)

Is this real- like did she actually write this:

“His pointer finger circled my puckered love cave. “Are you ready for this?” he mewled, smirking at me like a mother hamster about to eat her three-legged young.”
I had no desire to read the book but now I can see why people are buying it because that is probably the grossest / funniest thing I've ever read and I read James Joyce's Love Letters.

Terrifyingly so. I imagine the author is a virgin? Or hamster breeder...

Edit: I wonder how many other animals smirk before eating their young as well. This opens up so many questions.

Oh barf! I used to read a ton of hot and heavy romance novels and even they didn't have writing that bad! The first I heard of this book was on SNL. Yawn.

I'll admit that I love me some pretty dirty books, but after flipping through a few pages of it at my local bookstore, well let's just say that I was positive that it wouldn't have the desired effect. Then my Mother bought it for me, she'd heard something about it on tv & (thankfully) she likes to buy me books as gifts. I sat down with it after my kids went to bed & I think I made it close to 30 pages before I just couldn't read it anymore. Maybe it would have been ok if I'd read the whole thing, but the parts that I did read were written so poorly that the only thing it made me was ANNOYED. I gave it to my neighbor & I'm looking forward to seeing what she thought. I would imagine that since she's such a huge Twilight fan that she might like it- *no offense to other Twilight fans* (the characters of 50 Shades are just non-vamp versions of Edward & Bella). The most enjoyment I got out of my short time with it was reading the reviews on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Fifty-Shades-G...ews/B007J4T2G8), I couldn't believe that I was the only person who didn't like it- thankfully I wasn't....

if a man mewled at me i would scratch him behind his ears, set him on the floor, feed him some chunky tuna from a can, and tell him that his whiskers just don't do it for me anymore

also what is the puckered love cave, there are just so many orifices that could be

    or maybe they were spelunking

I am on the 3rd book. The first made me laugh. They are pretty well written and that is saying a lot as I rarely read and when I do it tends to be astrophysics type stuff. Only thing that bugs me about the books, she calls her vagina "my sex"...come on really? Call it a vagina already, its not like you are a government figure or anything.
lets just say I have a lot of stuff
