Default Should I buy an adult male for a great deal or find a baby somewhere else?

    Hey!

So I have this local breeder that has a website selling geckos and stuff... So she replied to my kijiji ad looking for a chahoua or leachie and she saide she has a chewie that not even on her website yet for $300 and he's a 1 year old male at about 50 grams that is green with a pink collar. Or should I try to find a baby somewhere else? Oh ya and the adult male chewy come with a exo Terra tank (18x18x24) and he's about 10 inches including his tail!

    Let me know,
    Cole

I'm sure you might have mentioned this in other posts, but do you plan on breeding these guys in the future or will he remain a pet? If he will become a breeder, make sure he has no defects or issues that would put you off to breeding him. Also, is he the color and pattern/quality you are looking for in a breeder?
If he's a pet, maybe question if he's a spaz vs. ok with being held, interactive, etc.
Adults are more sturdy, so there is a plus side to that. Babies are fun to watch grow, but you have to be more careful with them too. For PI babies you are looking at $400+ range, depending on breeder/quality. Mainlands can dip down to $300-350 for a baby. Just depends. If you like him and his personality/qualities are what you are looking for, then go for it. Just make sure you have done a great deal of research about these guys. They are not exactly the same as cresties as far as care. Hope this helps.

It does help... And he is completely healthy, and I am not sure about breeding I am jut kinda going to see what happens. With breeding because I don't even know if I enjoy the species yet? She says he is very tame. By the way the website is justgeckos.com or ca. The chewy is not on the website but you can just check out how she is!

    Thanks,
    Cole

I actually don't have any concerns! Idk if you know who Doug healey is but he recommended me to her after I've already been speaking with her. I think it's a PI! But not 100%
