You don't plan on getting a gecko just yet.
Sure, you've done a ton of research, but your terrarium is in the halfway-constructed phase, and you're thinking you've got plenty of time still. The local area is pretty much bone dry of Crested's anyway. Plus that gives you time to save up for something special by the time Repticon rolls around...
Then it happens. You just oh so casually happen to be strolling through a local pet shop buying dog food (who never has Crested's anyways) and there it is. A gecko you just know was meant to be yours! You've thus far resisted; you've passed up dozens of geckos in the past. But this little fellow looks you straight in the eye and says "home! now."

Here he is giving me a stern warning not to pass him up.

Now, I know he may not be some fancy named designer morph or have a bunch of sought-after traits, but that's ok with me. I still love his beautiful chocolate on cream color and patterning. And his personality is great! So I don't think I did half bad for $39
I currently have him housed in a x-large KK, with a vine and plenty of foliage while I continue to build his more permanent home. He seems to like it well enough. He's eating CGD and settling in. I don't have a scale yet so I haven't weighed him, and for that matter I don't know if its actually a him yet (I think I see a bulge but I'm inexperienced at this not to mention I've only really handled him once as I wanted to keep his stress down).
Anyway, just wanted to share. Thanks for reading. Feel free to comment.
Cheers,
Solar
