Ok the "geicho" and setup are coming to me tomorrow. I bribed her with some grooms in exchange just to get the poor thing. We shall see. His name will be Pong, whatever he is...if you want to know why, ask Will lol

Meet "Spongebob"....male buckskin crested gecko, rather bald, has a weird yellow spot...VERY friendly. Poor thing was living in the most horrid setup, you have to see it to believe it. The local pet store sold my cousin this setup specifically for this gecko. Geezus. He was only fed crickets and I gave him CGD tonight and he LOVED it.

Yup a crestie! I can't believe they didn't know what it was called. Stupid small petstore people. Not all of them are bad. But just for fun I asked how to setup a crestie cage to my local guy, and he said that they cant have any foliage! He said it needs to be plain and bare. Like WTF??? He also tried to tell me a praying mantis needed a 200 gal enclosure!he just tries to make money. Keep us updated!

No kidding! The one crestie he has in the store, is almost dead because when I last saw it it was laying on it's back barely breathing. I told him it was almost dead and he told me that is how they sleep, and that pissed me off so I literally pulled the cage out of it's shelf and started setting it up properly with all the supplies that were for sale. And I always when go to a pet store just in case keep some repashy or Clarks so I put some in. I hope he didn't change it. I did the same for their chameleon cage as it was also bare! Stupid pet store guy!

Oh, and he says to all his customers that bearded dragons like to be dropped from 5 or 6 feet! I caught one once and got pissed also. He does the same for the chameleons

OK OK there WAS one more addition to the tank, but thank GOD my cousin kept it for her kid. There was a giant spongebob figure in there too....thus the geckos name :P

That poor Crestie!! I'm so glad he's in good hands now, he sure looks hungry. With all the information out there and the ease of taking care of them, it really boggles my mind that this happens.
