Hello! New crestie owner here :)

I've been creeping around the forums for a little while, and thought I should introduce myself. My name is Jess, I'm 18, and needless to say I love reptiles! I currently have a bearded dragon, two leopard geckos, and my newest addition is my crested gecko... Along with my dog, rabbit, hermit crabs, and clawed frog!

I got my new little guy at the reptile show a couple weeks ago. I got him from Garrick DeMeyer at Crestedgecko.com, and he is a 6 month old pinstripe. He was 13g when I got him on April 29th, an now he is up to 17g... Which I think is good, right? They don't grow nearly as fast as I'm used to! He is still nameless, but I'm leaning towards Dexter for him.






And I must post my other lizards too!

This is my beardie, Dudley. He's probably 4 or 5 years old now? I've had him for 2 years.


Stella, my first leopard gecko! She is 11 months old.


And Stanley. He is 15 years old, and I rescued him in December when someone dropped him off in not-so-good-of shape at the pet store I work at.

You are correct on the growing rate. Crested geckos tend to grow slower than leopard geckos and other reptiles in my experience. I have to say you made a great choice for your first crestie and by the way Stella is very pretty. Welcome to the forums!

Congrats and welcome. You've got a good looking group of critters there. I love the name Dexter, I have a chinchilla with that name.
