Default And the Mammal Trap tightens its grip---

Well, I have two cats. One who is turning 11 this year, and one who is just barely 18 mos (see other kitten threads)

Geodude is a lover, big maine coon boy. About 14 pounds. Tink, my torbie is about 7 pounds. His greatest joy came from cornering her, and then tackling. She would assume the ball position and just scream. Visitors to my house upon witnessessing this show of great drama would get alarmed, but I assured them Geo was just attempting to play, and Tink was just being overly dramatic.

Two cat trees, a ton of toys, and still Geo would walk into the other room and cry. I cajoled until the BF caved and agreed to let me start looking for a kitten. Ideally, we wanted someone 8wks to 6 months old, who would keep up with him no problem.

During my search the idea that there are a lot of freaks on CL was reaffirmed. One girl wanted to just bring the last kitten in her litter to my house, without us even meeting him and emailed me over and over for my address so she could drop him off ,______,

But after about 3 weeks of searching, we found Miss Right.

And in comes Eevee, the snowshoesomethingsiamesecolorpoint mix. When she arrived last Friday she was 2lbs and 4oz and six weeks old.

After two days of Geo being a general sourpuss and trying to get her to leave (ok guys, you can take her back now syndrome), he has started to love his little sister

Here are some pics from this afternoon

Notice the look on her face in this one. She's definitely dishing out her fair share of chasing and batting

The goal was to get someone now so they can grow up together and be buds, and it looks like that's happening flawlessly.

Hope you enjoyed the pics! I've got bunches more already and we have had her for a week tomorrow LOL.

Nice felines! The use of the window sill really light illuminates the kittens fur

    Cute cat too, Meg!

She reminds me of a certain someone when he was a kitten!

His fur was very similar looking, now he's a large fluffball (a 14 pounder like Geo, they'd probably get on like old pals). His markings changed a lot too as he got older (though he's part Ragdoll and that's common) so I will look forward to seeing if hers do at all! I love fluffer kitters. This is Pippin more recently, with his dark grey socks and mask.

I looooove your new little lady. She's absolutely adorable and I congratulate you on her aquisition. You done good. Edit: Forgot to say - I love her half black/half pink nose!! Pippin has an almost totally black nose because of the spot under it and it definitely makes him stand out in the white face crowd. He's got a little bit of pink though - can't really see it in the pictures but the black ran out on the far left side of his nose and the end of it is pink.

Dang it Meg, stop making me want a cat!!! After having to groom them for 5+years I keep telling myself I'll never own one again (unless its a sphynx). Even bottle feeding, raising, and adopting out a little of orphaned kittens didn't make me want one.

But that face. Jesus. How do you ever put her down?

Now I have to go watch videos of puppies to get the beginnings of kitten fever out of my head.

She's is absolutely gorgeous!!! What a beauty! I did the same thing two years ago when my one year old cat only played with my dog as my older cat didn't want to play. He couldn't have been happier when we brought a 6 month old kitten home. They are now best friends and when Tony (three years now) can't find Jake (two years now) he walks around meowing. It's adorable! Hope they bond and love each other!!
