If you're interested in hermies, check out the HCA:
    http://www.hermitcrabassociation.com/phpBB/index.php
It's an INCREDIBLE place for hermie owners, I can't believe how much I learned there!
Thank you He's a really neat looking guy!

Aww what cute pictures! We had hermit crabs as kids, they are really neat pets. I'd love to get some again someday. Had no idea they had 'varieties' now, those reds look great!
May you take time to celebrate the quiet miracles that seek no attention.

So true! I was blown away when I found out how wrong the store was when they told me about them.

Adorable, do you keep them all in one cage?

Currently, I have them in two seperate smaller tanks right now, however once I get my hands on a cheap 90+ gallon tank, I'll be moving everyone in together As long as there's enough stuff for everyone, they'll be fine and dandy together. In the wild, hermies live in groups of hundreds for safety, so they do alot better in groups in captivity as well, so I'm hoping to get everyone into a big group soon

My very very special (and decently sought after) sunset viola! He's a variation of the subspecies, I'm currently searching for a regular viola (much easier to find then another sunset) to be a species buddy for him (crabs do better with others of their own species, they're fine with other species, as long as they have a "species buddy")

And here's Elmo, being cute Click image for larger version.
