    Default " " of Cresteds

so I was wondering....you call a lot of cattle a "herd", and alot of seagulls a "flock", and a group of whales a "pod" ..... so my question is what do you call a group of cresteds?? these are the musings that pass through my mind sometimes... lol

Well in my house they're collectively known as "the collection."

I call them my babies... Sorry, I'm 2/3 empty nesting. They have even taken over my college boys' room.

I have referred to mine as a small colony , but it's getting harder to say the small part.

I believe that colony is the correct terminology. O

I would think that colony would be right, but are cresteds social animals? Group names are usually reserved for those animals who live in groups or congregate regularly in the wild.... a murder of crows, gaggle of geese, a business of ferrets, a romp of otters... interestingly enough I did a quick search and I found very few that are even reptile related, an army or colony of frogs, a quiver of cobras, a bale of turtles, a rhumba of rattlesnakes, and snakes in general is just a nest of snakes, nothing about geckos of any kind. Who comes up with these names, anyhow!!!

The breeder of my very first gecko, Crunch, calls them a "gaggle of geckos". I don't know if that is the correct terminology or just her loving way to refer to all the babies, though.
