These are all such good suggestions! I like the Schneider Skink a lot. The Orange Spotted Agamas look very cool too. THey seem very hard to find though.

I find my Schneider's are good for handling. They are clumsy though, so you got to watch out for that. Mine are so silly. They are ground dwellers, but they insist on climbing all the way to the top of my head when I handle them haha.
Schneider's are hardy lil guys too.
The males seem to be a bit more social than the females, from what I hear and have experienced with my two.
Diet: Wet dog food(the good stuff, like Natural Balance Chicken Formula[don't get anything with fish in it]), CGD, berries, snails(someone recommended those annoying aquatic snails that take over tanks), bugs, banana, Kefir, chicken or turkey, yams(fresh cooked[cover a washed yam in foil, stick it in the oven at 300, I believe, for an hour]) and the very occasional mushroom(from the store). That is stuff I've fed them. And, go organic for as much as you can.

    Those Schneider skinks look neat!

I love uros. However, personalities can vary and some really don't like being handled. I have no real problems with any of mine but they can become shy and skittish and you need to work with them. They can tail-whip if you disturb them.
