MegaMillions--who bought their tickets?

I bought tickets Tuesday when it was over $375 million. Tomorrow nights drawing is expected to be well over $525 million.

What on earth would you do with all that money? Even after taxes and such...that's still a TON of MONEY!

I bought 5 tickets yesterday, each with the megaplier. First time I've EVER played.

I'd start my own country....

I don't have any particular numbers but just buy 13 quick picks. For what ever reason the universe has seen to it that I met my wife on the 13th and my first son was born on the 13th.

If I won I would take a year to travel the world with my family and visit some of my friends that I do not get to see often from over seas.

I picked up 4 last night. My family is cursed with ill fortune, but hey, everyone has to win something ONCE in their life right?!

I would buy a house, right up next to the mountains here. Or I'd buy land and build a house. My biggest dream in life is to actually own my own home, without having to worry about getting in over my head. And I would donate a good chunk to the Wounded Warrior Project. Being a former Army wife, it's an organization thats close to my heart.

Aaaand I'd buy myself a Kia Soul.

I've wanted one for ages, and I haven't actually had my own car since I was 18.

Everyone at work went in and bought a ton of tickets, and my boyfriend is currently at the store getting a few.

I already decided that if I won that money the first thing I'd do (after giving some to family etc) would be to buy out every animal shelter in the country, and make them no-kill and larger, safer, cleaner etc.
Just think... no more heart wrenching Sarah McLachlan commercials...
OH, and get rid of puppy mills..

In reality, I'd probably keep working, or go back to school full time and get as many degrees as I could.. and buy every gecko... ever... and sequence the DNA of all Rhac species, master their genetics, etc... (could probably be tied in with the whole getting as many degrees as I could idea)

I have horrible luck and probably would never pick the winning numbers so I made a deal with a friend of mine from England, he picks the numbers for a couple of tickets, I pay and if we win we split the pot. For those of you who are seriously counting your chickens before they hatch their is a site that has figured out basically what you would wind up with based upon the state you live in.

Cash net payment for me would be $305,058,600 after taxes give or take.
