Alright, well, this really wasn't something I was planning on, but I have a friend who likes to get me things randomly and show up at my house and yell 'Surpriiiiiise!'

Apparently, my getting her two rats for her birthday constitutes her getting me a gecko for... Easter? I don't even know. Fact of the matter is, she showed up at my house at eight in the freaking morning and handed me a ten gallon and a kk with some plants and a gecko in it. e___e I guess she didn't... know I had already gotten one. Or she'd gotten this one before I got Bentley, which is more likely.

So... Surprise? -sigh- I'm going to kill her, I swear...

If my mother doesn't get to her first.

Ahaha, I'm going to leave it alone for the time being. It... looks like a harlequin, with partial pinstriping, though. The only thing I've done is put a capful of water and another of gcd in the bottom since she's brought it in. Otherwise, I've set him aside to settle for now.

Bentley, however, is horrendously calm, lol. Chillin on my hand like 'Sup?'

    I know the addiction
My boyfriend has been extremely accommodating because he likes them as much as I do, but there's something about cresties that make them (for me anyway) so much more lovable and fascinating than any other kind of pet. I have two now and I'm aching for a third already!

    Update time!

So, the weather's starting to rip right into summer, which means I've finally gotten a good idea on what the temps in the cage are with the 5.0 and the 2.0. Long story short, it was too hot, and I ended up pulling the 5.0 and leaving the 2.0. Which, while it bugs me slightly that there's only one light and it's not uniform and symmetrical and blahblah [I'm so incredibly ocd, honestly], I'm telling myself I can deal with it, simply because with all my shades open, it still looks reasonably well lit, regardless.

In a few days, I'm going to be converting a ten gallon tank into a ten gallon atrium, as soon as I get my hands on some plexiglass and a screen kit. I recently weighed the baby, and he's/she's [still unsure on that one] a whopping 9 grams. Holy crap! Time to get him/her into that ten gallon, asap!

Bentley went through his first shed while under my care last night, as well, and after scaring the bejesus out of me because he almost looked dead, came though fine. Just weighed him, and he's sitting at around 13g. Well, damn, lol, they're not too far off from each other, which is amazing, because the little one looks pretty small, compared to Benters.

Pictures coming soon! Just gotta find a nice stick, lmao.

    Pictures! O:

So, I had originally tried to use my westward facing window to get a few shots of the both of them on the end of a bit of bamboo, but neither of them wanted to sit cooperatively for it. The screen was too close and they kept leaping for it like it was their last life line, lmao. I did, however, get a nice one of Bentley before he flew off the stick like Batman.

So, after that, I took them outside and went through the garden for a nice plant and settled on one of the hydrangea bushes. It's not flowering yet, but it's nice and green. I figured they might like it.

Bentley got a little camera shy at that point, not that I can blame him. He's just... so photogenic. :C Y u no liek cameraz, Bentley?

So, I set him back and took out the little one, who might be a boy? Again, I'm still not entirely too sure, but I kind of see pores and the slight makings of a bulge, but I know that people have had 'males' who turn out being females, so I'm still not putting money on it. However, for the sake of giving it a name, let's tentatively call 'him' Royce.

I figured, 'Ooh, I'll get a few shots of him fired down, because the little goober just loves firing up.' What does he then refuse to do when I'm trying to get pictures of him fired up? Yeah.

Still, he's a nice looking gecko, and I'm loving the structure he's going going on with his head. He's definitely got larger frills than Bentley has, and longer 'spines'. Bentley is still my favorite, but don't tell Royce that. :P
