Caviar's the little pin I sold to you several years back, right? We've finally got things back up and breeding after about a 4 year hiatus -- 25 hatchlings so far this season (cresteds and gargs) including some pretty nice pinners from this one's mom (a full pin I acquired back around 2004 or 2005 i think). I knew I should've held on to that one, turned out to be beautiful ;-). Looking forward to seeing her offspring.

Always expect the unexpected :-). We have a pair breeding right now that are not pinstripes that have been throwing nearly identical clutches with lots of interesting dorsal scales w/o any obvious pinstriping, and then the latest clutch had some pretty complex dorsal patterns with some partial pinstriping. Our primary pinstripe breeders don't have complete lateral markings, but we just hatched one with nearly solid laterals on both sides. They also don't throw 100% pinners every time. Probably the same way that some "new" traits like "phantom pinstripes," "portholes", etc. have developed (and sometimes redeveloped) over the years.
