OO, that's a cool snake. And I assume it's nocturnal so it doesn't need any UVB and stuff?

Actually they're pretty much diurnal, but they still don't need UV.

Blood pythons aren't ones to turn down a meal.
I just have two (for now > )
    older pic of them.
When first converting them to F/T the female did waste one rat but that's it.
They have a tendency to get fat in fact if fed too frequently. Name: hugeblood.jpg

My Mexican black and Florida kingsnake are my garbage disposals. They are voracious eaters and have fantastic feeding responses. If somebody else refuses a meal, it gets tossed to one of them.

Are Carpet python's care much different than ball python care?

Yeah....a little bit. They're longer-bodied and semi-arboreal. Therefore, they will need a bigger cage. They also don't need as high of humidity.

Carpets can be a bit grumpy from time to time, LOL!!! When provoked (which sometimes doesn't take much) they'll bite rather than curl up into a ball.

Otherwise, they are much better eaters, are way more active, fun to handle, and make a great display animal...
