    Default Terrarium wall hide DIY

My husband bought me a cordless dremel and a ton of attachments for Christmas, and I made a really cool wall hide/cave for Mocha's terrarium.
I attached it with clear aquarium sealant smeared all the way around.

That looks great! I wouldn't want to silicone it though, magnets would be nice

^ This. Can't clean, move or remove unwanted geckos from inside.

That said, it's a really nice piece.

Yeah, that silicone doesn't hold all that well, if you pull down on it, they snap right off.. I have bumped them with some force while cleaning tank walls and then have to reattach them. Pretty easy to bump and disattach when in a hurry. I am more careful when scrubbing walls now.
This one isn't too big, I had a spot on the glass, I stuck a Q-tip in there and scrubbed it off. (of coarse i had to notice the spot after attaching the cave to the wall)

It's made out of a sheet of wall/foam insulation. It normal comes in 4x8 sheets. This one was the pink stuff. 2". I also have some blue 1". A friend of mine makes letters and signs for people out of the stuff, and he gave me a bag of scraps. Then I paint them with a water base paint, let them dry and air out. Then I wash them in dawn dishing liquid, let them dry again, then when they are practically odorless, I attach them to the tank.
