Wondering what methods everyone uses to clean water spots off the side of your inclosures?

I spray with vinegar, then take a razor blade and scrape them off, then rinse thoroughly and towel dry.
I had to switch to using water from my friends' house in the county north of me, as their water is nowhere near as spotty/hard. I just refill my jugs at their house when I go over to visit, and I haven't had nearly the issues I had when using my own county water. I know some people use RO or distilled as well, to prevent the water spots.
I've also heard that citric acid works well to get them off.

Lime away. Works amazing let it soak for a minute and it scrubs right off. Just make sure that you rinse well after using so you don't harm your pet.

Use distilled water in the future and you won't get spots.

Using a wallpaper scraper seems to work just as good as the razor, but with less work as it's bigger.

WARNING! Distilled water has no minerals in it and is bad for drinking all the time.

I used vinegar, let it soak for 10-15 minutes, then wiped. Spray with distilled water now.

OK. I knew someone would post this. I have been spraying my tanks for over a year with nothing but distilled water. My Crested has no side effects. So please tell me your basis for your response.
