TV Show - Storage Wars

Does anyone else watch this show? I absolutely love it!

At first I was really opposed to it because my mom lost 3 storage rooms that had ALL of mine and my sisters baby pictures in them. Plus countless old items, other family pictures, etc. They're gone forever now, just something I have to deal with.

I feel bad that these people lose their storage rooms, but in a sense it's their own fault. If they would go through the storage and at least sell some of the things in there, they would have kept it! There was one episode where the guy Dave found a few pieces of real Jade and Ivory. He made so much money on that storage, it's stupid, lol.

I don't have cable, so after this week (I'm away from home on business) I'll go back home and no Storage Wars

I love A&E though! They have some good shows on that channel. I wish we could get a cable plan to pick out specific channels.

We watch this show as well. We love it. Barry is a riot!
Love watching how he dresses and which awesome ride he will be using that particular day!

I watch Storage Wars off and on. I like Auction Hunters and Auction Kings too. Different flavors of the same show.

I've noticed a ton of new "resale" shops opening up in the last year, and I attribute a lot of that to shows like Storage Wars; Auction Hunters; American Pickers; etc... Everyone thinks they can make money buying things cheap and selling them for a profit like the guys on TV. Good luck to them, but I doubt that the majority of them will find that it works out like they hoped.

I was watching that show Hardcore Pawn a few months ago and one lady tried to pawn a leachie. I was in disbelief!

love barry as well. i love how he brings really weird people with him that drive the others nuts hehehe

also love when the the wife of the young couple gets a chance to show up her husband. always a good laugh.

Depends in the items. Just like gecko keeping there are hard core people in collectibles. My parents are dealt in antique Victorian furniture, we could buy pieces for $50, have it in our Victorian home for a bit and resell it for 3-4x as much. It really depends on the items and the population you are attracting.

I love Barry too! His glasses are always awesome. And the cars he shows up in are even more awesome! Brandi is pretty awesome too. I love that episode with the horse head, she scored big time on that one!

Funny you mention second hand stores popping up more since these shows have boomed. I noticed a lot more second hand shops around my town too, never put the two together. Granted I don't watch these shows at home either!
