Default LOL, Mating Call on YouTube

Today I was looking up cresties on YouTube, and there was a video of one chirping. I wanted to see what my female crestie would do if I held her and played it. She is normally a bit jumpy and loves to run, so I put her on my bed. As soon as I turned on the sound of the male gecko chirping, my gecko froze. About ten seconds after the sounds ended, she ran the fastest I have ever seen her run while she was trying to get off my bed. I almost didn't catch her! I might have been a coincidence that she froze up then was hyperactive, but I think she really WAS reacting to the sound.

    Thoughts?

    Okay, here's an update.

It's an hour later, and my crested is still a bit fired up. I played the chirping sound again, and tried to pick her up. She was really un-jumpy for me, then whenever I touched her vent area, she wiggled her tail like female geckos do when they... erm... feel a male gecko is near, if you get my drift.

(for any of those who think this is mean, she is unfired now and sleeping)

:C My geckos would never react. I never hear them chirp. Speckled does this very quite whistle to his ladies, but you have to be lucky to catch it.

What's a girl gotta do to hear some cute chirps around here! The only other time I hear them make noise is when Scott or Choppy thinks I'm a male when I'm trying to pick them up.
The name Stella fills me with dread.

Wow. Thats so weird and mean. Geckos aren't little toys you can mess around and play with.

Seems mean and unnecessary to me..not sure why you would find this particularly entertaining...???
Why would you come on here and talk about touching your geckos vent for cheap thrills?
    Strange...not funny.

Okay, farrah65, I know my gecko is NOT a toy. I wanted to see how she reacted, and right now she is sleeping, fully unfired. If I thought she was going to be stressed, I would have stopped. I played the mating calls with her twice, and she is fine. I just held her and cleaned her cage, and she is acting completely normal again, not even fired up. So farrah65, mind your own business. I mean that in a non-offensive way.

You made it her business and everybody else's when you chose to post on a public forum about touching your geckos vent...which is pretty much the strangest thing that I have heard on here.
