Well heres my new Gargoyle. I got him yesterday from the Taylor reptile show. He's my first gecko and I love him!

Tell me what you think. (: Any suggestions on his tank? The humidity is about 80% and temps are at about 78 F. I'm using plantation soil as his substrate. When I got him home the first thing he did was eat tons of his CGD. Haha He likes to "fingerpaint" too. Any and all suggestions/comments are much appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks! Do you know what morph he is? I'm bad with identifications.. And yeah I didn't realize how big his cage was until I put everything in it. Off to the dollar store I go!

I would say black and white strip from what i can see and you mite not want to use suction cup plants he will probably pull them off and they do not use plants to hide in. I would suggest branches cork and double the vine. A cork round up top for the guy to sleep in as well.

I use the suction cup wall plants in all my tanks and ALL my gargs use them. No problems with that. Also I tend to suggest not to use cork rounds for gargs because unless you get the really round/big ones that fit the gargs and your whole hand you'll never be able to get them out.

Can we get a shot of the garg from above? Looks like a high contrast black and white stripe. Any photos of him fired up?

Also you can resize your photos by uploading them to photo bucket and then clicking the resize option. They have a standard 800x600 size that works well for this forum.

i guess my garg is a weirdo then because my garg hates the plants and will not go near them. and the cork bark this is true during the day she does not come out at all. but at night she is never in there at all.

Darren - each of them are different this is true but in my house your garg would be a strange one. I have about 25 juvenile - adult gargs here just now and each have them and all of them use them. I had tried the rounds a few years back and I ended up ripping them into flats because they cause so much hassle for cleaning days and when I needed to check on them after breeding (making sure they did not beat each other up).
