Craigslist Again

A lady on Craigslist has two geckos up for adoption with the cage, food, and misting bottle for $50. I wanted to know what morphs she has, so I e-mailed her. One is patternless and she said it was orange when it was small but is now yellow. The other one she describes as dark green with spots. Once she found out that I'm into cresties, she said that she wants me to have them. I only want to look in case of something really nice.

She's had them in the same cage together for a year and a half, so I'm guessing on them both being female.

Also, our Petco had a nice orange and cream hatchling last week, but it couldn't have been more than 1.5 to 2 grams, super tiny. I thought I'd drop by and take a second look tomorrow.

If they look healthy, why not? Can't have too many females, right? lol!

What I'm afraid of is neither one being more than mediocre, and if that's the case, how do I talk my way out of it?

Eh, if you don't like them, maybe you can try and find better pet homes down the line. If she's willing to just give them away... but then again I'm really tender hearted and would immediately assume someone terrible would get them in her eagerness to get rid of them.

Ask for good pics in natural light. Tell her that if it's what you're looking for, you'll consider them.

I thought about that, too. I did warn her that people might see them as possible snake food, and to please be careful.

If they've been living happily together this long with no eggs or fighting, they're probably girls. But I really don't have anyone to pair up with a yellow or an olive dalmatian.

We're planning to meet tomorrow afternoon, depending on when the repairman comes. I had a gas leak this morning, and he has to bring a new part.

Yeah, I'm the same way...I'd be all over them, just to be sure they end up in good homes, whether it be mine or someone I know is experienced in their care.

I just got an e-mail from her saying she'll hold them until I can get there tomorrow.
