Congrats on the new addition! If you haven't already, I would recommend studying this care sheet: http://bluetongueskinks.net/. It is probably the most comprehensive care guide you will find on the internet for blueys.
And, just for fun, here's a pic of my Indonesian BTS:

1.1.2 Crested Geckos, 0.3 Mourning Geckos, 0.1 Blue Tongue Skink, 1.1 Corn Snakes, 1.1 Ball Pythons, 1.0 Garter Snake, 1.0 Chinchilla, 0.1 Bird, 0.2 Dogs, 2.3 Cats, 0.1 Hamster
Yours looks like a very nice Northern Blue Tongue Skinker. I too recommend www.bluetongueskinks.net they are super nice over there, and willing to help with any questions you might have. Aspen (the larger flatter shavings, not the thin splinter kind, which can sometimes poke or stick in their eyes) is a good substrate for Blueys. I found that carefresh tended to be dusty and would suck the humidity out of the tanks.
I went to Home Depot and got a big piece of slate for a basking spot as well, and a water dish or pan large enough for your Bluey to soak in will be appreciated. All in all, looks healthy, (a little on the slim side, but not skinny by any means) congrats, Blue tongues are great fun to have!![]()

Thanks guys I have spent lots of time on bluetoungsking.com thats where I started to want to keep this species. I read over the care sheet but I always like to ask regular keepers about their methods. I got him from a pet shop that does not know much but their animals are in pretty decent shape. He is a big eater so I will try and put some weight on him. I also did not like the way they were keeping him so I felt obligated to bring him home
reptile65 --wow nice looking skink cant for my guy to grow up
