Default On my desk at work...

UPS am delivery this morning brought me my very first chahoua. I opted for a work delivery since I knew someone would be here in the am and I am not much of an am person. So today I have, in a small Sterilite box, a lovely little chahoua boy of about 9 months of age. He's so cute, thanks Michael!

I know, this post is useless without pics but I have a 1st yen iPhone and no clue how to get pics from here to there. And my computer at home is busticated so I can't even down load real pics from a real camera. I'm so technologically inept....
Regardless, my new little work buddy has toned down from his blikety black traveling duds (man I've never seen anything that level of fired up!) and is now of a more normal fired up skin tone. Overnight shipping, never fun.
Interesting enough I've had several people come and peek in and none of them find it odd that I have a lizard on my desk. Go figure!

Thanks! I've actually mastered the art of setting up a grow out tank. I think it took me 5 minutes to set up a 10 gallon for him with live plants, cork, a few grape vines, and the mushroom feeding ledge. I have build so many grow outs and live planted that I have tubs of stash to use. I ordered the mushroom ledge months ago since I knew my payment plan would take a bit. The only thing that took longer was the making of the screen top. I've gotten really good at that too though.

I'm very excited to get him into his new home tonight and see him settle in. The shipping/moving process does take it's toll. Plus I'm totally neurotic about shipping and I stalk the UPS tracking system until I have box in hand. My shipping and receiving guy at work was warned last night. He was waiting almost as impatiently as me!

So now all I need is a girlfriend for him. Time to start expanding the new chewie collection....

He is now all nice and settled in his 10 gallon full of hidey spaces. He took off as soon as I put him in so I had to go and chase him. The good news, he's relatively slow (compared to my spazzie garg juvies) and not hand shy at all. Totally just climbs right on. I'm so in love (shh don't tell the hubby).
