Default New (and my first!) Gargs

I have decided to finally expand my love of Rhacodactylus geckos

I picked up these two Gargs. Both just over 1 year old. It was the best trade I ever made!

Little female. She is so small and sweet. I can see some speckles of red on her too.

And the big (and slightly aggressive!) male

I do plan on breeding these geckos down the road.
For anyone with garg breeding experience, do the offspring generally reflect the parent's colours and patterning, or is it random luck of the draw?

I'm so happy to have these two...and the obsession continues!

Yes the coloring and patterning of the parents are greatly reflected in the offspring. You should get primarily get black and white striped hatchlings.
The parents have very nice bold dorsal stripes, love it.

Those are some nice clean lines! I'm happy the strong BW contrast is getting some attention from breeders.

Welcome to a whole new addiction!

Thanks for info! I love the stripes on them too. I was immediately drawn to the black and white contrast.

I think it's time I got my own reptile room. I can't see myself NOT getting anymore animals

A friend wanted to get rid of some corn snakes to free up some of his tanks... Literally get rid of.
Soo I had 10$ in my wallet and some free tanks at my place ready to go.
Thats what I paid for 2 adult corns a while ago. What can I say, I can't refuse a deal!
He was happy to have more space for some incoming reptiles and I had some cool new additions for a while.

Then I was talking to a someone who breeds many types of reptiles and he offered me a trade. I am 100% more of a gecko person then snake person so why not?

Sooo I paid 10$ for two beautiful gargoyle geckos... I'm still in shock.
