Sexing Help Please!

Nobody is probably going to be able to tell (as I dont have a second pair of hands to hold this kiddo while I take a clearer, closer shot with the other lens) but any opinions on this one? I think I see some pores, but I cant be 100% sure, especially because of the scale mottling. Anyone have a sharper eye than I do?

I believe i see them, but I do not have experience looking for pores, and I feel they aren't too accurate, but can be accurate sometimes

I thought pores would show up a little more in the middle. Also, in one of the sexing threads, didn't some suggest maybe female scales were more round and even and males uneven, oval, and sometimes overlapping?

Oh, and how much does this kid weigh? You may have to wait a little longer for him/her to get a little bigger.

I have the same problem with my two youngest right now. I just want to beat my head on a desk- they both have that molted 'crotch' area too.

They're the most accurate way we have! And I've been 95% accurate with pore sexing my geckos This one is just a little tougher because I'm incredibly blind >.<

I think the real problem is the shots aren't 100% clear. Can you maybe put the baby in a clear glass cup or bow (I use the top of what looks like a mini cookie jar from hobby lobby) so you don't have to hold them in your hand?

I find mine all come out slightly 'blurry' looking or that my macro feature just isn't strong enough unless I have very good bright outdoor light and my gecko chills out for a bit.

There are usually a few rows of them, and they do extend down, they're just usually smaller and a little harder to see. Those are just about where I THINK I can sort of see some indents in the scales.

Kid is about 2-3g, but I sexed Cupcake at about this age/weight a while ago I think I'm just gonna use the new lens and try and get a better picture of the groin/vent area while this kid is on some glass. I have an old glass fish tank that I can try and get better pics from/on.

Mine were so darn wiley at that age, there was just no hope!

2-3g is way tiny for accurate sexing, I don't see any pores at all in those pictures but they aren't that clear so it's difficult to say. However, males often have larger spurs, and for a 2-3g gecko those spurs are quite pronounced.

I've seen pores on small geckos like this before, I was just wondering if anyone had a sharper eye than I do

And spur-sexing has been disproved. Some of my gals have spurs as big, if not bigger, than males' spurs.
