Default Little Red Blood Droplets? in crested cage?

So, I bought my new juvenile crested gecko about a month ago(PETCO) and I have been feeding him gutloaded crickets sprinkled with CGD while i try to switch over from crickets to the CGD. He will now eat it but, I SEE a few small (like 2 millimeters in size) red round something in there around his dish. I have seen these before but it wasn't around his dish and it also hasn't happened in awhile. I use a bottled water lid for the cgd. I got his dish out and i could smear it around and it looked liked smeared blood? Could this be blood droplets from possibly the crickets that i miss seeing in the morning? I feed him the small crickets from petco. I have him in a ten gallon tank with climbing leaves and logs and coco fiber for the substrate. I mist twice a day and let it reach proper levels for drying and sustaining a proper humidity level. If you need pics I will buy a usb.

Im sure the red spots are the granules of food being dissolved in cgd.

This, definatly. Its just a part of the CGD
I see them all the time too, I wonder what fruit or foodstuff they come from.

Hard to tell what the red things are without a picture, so I won't venture to assume that its part of the CGD until I see what you're talking about. But hey, if you want to wean your gecko off crickets, go cold turkey and just feed the cgd for a straight month or more. He is holding out for the crickets, which is why he's not appearing to eat much of the CGD. Once you offer only CGD, he won't have a choice and will have to eat the CGD. A healthy gecko will not starve itself, he may lose a little weight from being stubborn, but he won't starve. They can go a long time without eating, so you have to be more stubborn than the gecko.
