    Angry who does that?!

My boyfriend's roommate vacuumed up dog puke with a non shop vac. HOW WONDERFUL! He also didn't clean it out and when we took it apart to clean it, I just about yaked on the floor... The vacuum now emits a nasty, nasty odor ALL THE TIME.

any ideas on how to make the stinky vacuum not stinky?

I'm sorry but I did laugh a little, but that pretty screwed up. I'd make him buy a new one! Jerk!

GROSS! What type of vacuum cleaner is it? I might have a couple suggestions, but it depends on the type it is.

oooo good idea tl! I laughed too Maddox until we started cleaning it. We texted him that he can't clean up puke with the vacuum and he was so angry that he didn't come home until midnight. then got even more angry because i gave his lokos to my brother. They were sitting in the fridge (along with his expired food) for MONTHS! boys are nasty.. SO nasty!!

its a dyson. we took everything out and cleaned it and then there is a filter by where the brushes are and we cant figure out how to get it out, i think that is where the smell is coming from, and the brushes.

Dyson is good - I've got one. Take the canister off the machine, follow the clear plastic handle on the top of the canister to the front...there should be a little lip on the handle where it meets the canister body, put your thumb on the bottom and pull up...you should now have access to the hepa filter and can wash it with soap and water. Let it dry completely before putting back in the machine. Then for the next couple of time using it, you can either use a carpet freshner and vacuum it up off the carpet or use baking soda, both works really well.

Oh, just noticed on my machine after you remove the canister, on the shaft of the machine it shows a picture of how to remove the filter.
