Yes, he is a rescue. Yes, he has a little remains of stuck shed on his toes. Kita got most of it off though. Thank you Kita!!!
He is adjusting well to a proper enclosure. Yes, I know he would like to climb up onto limbs and foliage. I am treating him for MBD (very slight case) which means low to the ground foliage, etc. Will be a good transition for him anyways since his previous owner had him on shredded pine with no foliage or climbing structure.
I picked him up Sunday morning and got him soaking in a sauna ASAP the second I saw his feet. He just layed in it with nostrils just above the water line. I don't think his previous owner was misting and she had a rock in his water bowl (I think because he was getting in it, I wonder why??). When I got home Sunday night I got him all setup in his enclosure.
Monday evening I checked under his leaves and cork for poop, which I did find.He didn't bark or huff at me once. I tried to give him some N-fix but we wouldn't even bark at me when I touched his back leg with my finger.
Tonight though he barked at me some when I checked under his cork. He even gapped at me long enough to get some calcium in him.
The previous owner took a few photos of him the week before I got him. His body language is so much different. He seems more relaxed and comfortable. Anyways I'm rambling now....
Thank you for looking!
