    Default Tank too big?

I finally have my terrarium together and have put my baby into it, however, I did the dumbest thing. I think that the terrarium might be too big. The tank is a R-Zilla Acrylic tank (18"L x 12"W x 20"H) that I bought from Matthew Parks at one of the reptile shows. My crested is approx nose to end of tail, a tad bit shorter than my index finger. IS THIS TOO BIG???? If so, I am going to switch my larger cresteds (which are in a 10 gal until the next reptile show, when I buy 3 more tanks!) into the R-Zilla and put my baby into the 10 gal. LET ME KNOW, Please!

Deffinity sounds too big. Your little one will do best in a medium kritter keeper to a 10 gallon.

Agreed, I would make the switch and let the adults enjoy the tank until the little guy is older. The 10 gallon is still pretty big but you could try and just be sure he is eating and pooping. If not, move him down to a Kritter Keeper.

I was wrong. The tank he is in now is a 5.5 gallon. This should be fine, right?

5 gallons should be fine in my opinion. Just use paper towel and check for poop. Ask for help if after a week or so you still have no poop.

Yep. If you see poop then it eats and is fine.

Well, I watched him eat a cricket the other day. I was so proud. But in the time that I have had him...he hasn't pooped. I've had him almost for a week.

Are you using paper towel as substrate? You might not see the poop at all if you are not. YOur gecko is very small, therefore the poop will be small also. Look for small black flecks.

paper towel only. I plan to clean the tank and what not tonight, just to check on him. I'll look a lot closer.
