    Exclamation Reptile Vet Resource Thread

This thread is intended as a resource for other hobbyists attempting to find good herp vets in their area. It's not meant for debate, criticism, or a BOI-style review.

If you have reptile specialist vets you use or know of, that you would feel good using yourself and would suggest to a friend, post them here. Please ONLY make posts with vet data. No discussion, so it's easier for people to find.

I hope you do not mind me adding this:
    http://www.chameleonforums.com/area-...et-list-32880/

I would copy and paste the vets and their info but for some reason one of the scripts I'm running on firefox isn't allowing that right now.

They are also the only avian vet in the area, the next closest will be Cleveland and I believe Jackson (or maybe it was Brooklyn) Michigan.

Other places to look for a vet is www.herpvetconnection.com They have reptile vets listed by state and city. Obviously not all cities are listed on it, so if you are from a smaller area this may not hel you. So if this doesnt work for you, try finding a local herp society in your area, even if it is an hour away, they will at least be able to help you in your search in finding a local vet for your needs. Also colleges are a good source. If a college near you has a life lab, they will be in need of exotic vets also, so you can always try asking them on who is the closest vet to you. And in a pinch, often avian vets are a good source, avian vets are very specalized, even more so then reptiles. Most often they have enough knowledge to get you through the bumps in the road for health care for your pet, and often have enough strings to pull to get outside sources who are not from the area to consult the situation and how to proceed.

It won't let me edit my prior post, so I need to let folks know that the clinic/vet I posted has moved/closed.

This one instead, Dr. Kamaka is great with geckos.
