    Default Blackie needs your well-wishes...

I'm surprised this little guy is even here... his egg went full term but instead of filling up the egg where candling light is mostly blocked out, the last 3 weeks found him taking up a third of the egg and always in the exact same position. The other day he pipped the egg and it had shrunk down and only the tip of his snout was through... so I helped. Unlike most eggs, the interior of this one was different: instrad of the clear / tinted liquidy goo, there was hardened goo.... looked like hard cottage cheese (explains why he was in the same position all the time, he couldn't maneuver through that gunk). I had a hard time getting him out of the egg and when he was out, he was very uncoordinated on his feet. He's maybe a gram but has eaten some hand-fed cgd and today (like most auric youngsters) peed on me when i picked him up.

His parents are Camaro and Nova so his coloration puzzles me! Send him some happy thoughts!

Thinking good thoughts for blackie. Tiny for a garg for sure....but he looks good!
Kind of looks like he is striped with a cool pattern in between those stripes.
    Good luck!
You have to wonder why the insides hardened like that. I had a crestie do that last year, but did not get to the baby in time...

I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has seen this happen with an egg.... really weird and like some say, some critters were never meant to make it... but this guy has a chance and he's already more sturdy on his feet today... so we'll see!

It looks like he has purplish stripes on his sides. Cool. I hope the little guy does well.

What a different looking garg! I really love this, will he stay that dark? I hope he pulls through!

I don't know what to expect with color, lifespan or quality of life... but the good sign is the willingness to eat... always a good sign. We shall see!
