    Default General question for breeders

How long do you have between a gecko laying it's first clutch and the next one(if they have more than one pair)?.

Our clutches, for cresteds, tend to be 4-5 weeks apart.

I have one that is every 40-45 days and one that is every 60 days, both first year females.

i have 6 females housed separately from eachother, but side by side in one room at my work that all lay at about 35 days, i have another group of 5 set up the same way in another room at my work that all lay about 30-32 days, and i have a third set of 4 females that all lay 40-43 days... they all have their little cycles together it seems.

This is my first year breeding for me and my geckos, one of my females laid exactly 30 days later. The other one is coming close to the 30 day mark as well, so we shall see if she follows the same pattern. I believe 30-45 days is about the normal range.

Every 4 to 5 weeks but if your female is breeding for the first time it can be hit and miss and not very regular. My female laid eggs in October - we cooled her and hatched those two - she did not lay again until March despite not being exposed to the male again. Those eggs should hatch any day now.

Agreed! Most of mine are also laying at 30 day intervals like clockwork.
