Eggs! Need Advice Pleeeease!
I went to Petco to check on the eggs Spyral posted about in the other thread. They were still there, under a hide. I asked for their reptile person. The nice lady who loves lizards wasn't there, and another clerk gave me the eggs to get rid of them.
I got my first gecko six weeks ago and know NOTHING about caring for eggs. They came home with me in a betta container, in substrate from the cage. The substrate is small wood chips, and it is absolutely loaded with baby crickets and little orange mites. I made sure he set them in the container without jarring them and keeping them in the same position in which they were found. The substrate in the cage where they were was pretty damp.
I have some New Zealand sphagnum moss. Is that an acceptable substrate for eggs? I don't have an incubator. What do I do?
