Which plants would be great in a situation with no additional lighting? My gecko room gets fairly warm during the summer. I'd be afraid a light would add extra heat and push the temp over the comfortable level.

Any feedback? I'm not currently planning to use a light fixture on my Zoomeds.

Pothos is always a good choice.

If you use a CFL "energy saving" bulb, it doesn't produce much heat. In that case you can easily grow many tropical houseplants. Snakeplant is another favorite of mine. Lucky Bamboo is also easy, as well as some other dracaenas - but the aren't as forgiving as pothos.

Should be fine, I think that's called a corn plant.

When buying plants that have fertilizer, it is best to thoroughly rinse off all dirt from roots and in some cases repot for 6 months. The repotting generally is best for animals that have a tendency to munch on the plants.

This plant: Aralia (Polyscias balfouriana) is an exoticangles plant. The description on their webpage says it is from New Caldonia. I assume this would be safe for crested geckos??? I couldn't find it in this thread.

Here's the page on exotic angels. http://exoticangel.com/Varieties/Sho...px?productid=3
