Default FIRST Tonks x Bill baby! HATCHED!

So tonight, after feeding everyone I asked my boyfriend, Reid if he'd like to see me candle all the eggs. I wanted to show him the different stages of development. We started with the youngest clutch, and worked backwards.

I picked up one of the eggs laid on 04/17 and after being over the light for maybe 15 seconds it started to MOVE. Reid was like "wow, she's really going in there" and we could see the little tail moving, and the baby did a turn or two. I smiled HUGELY because I haven't caught much movement out of this clutch, and then I put the egg down.

And as SOON as it was nestled back in its spot, it began to HATCH! I almost had a heart attack! I dashed for both cameras (and did manage to get a crappy, but heartfelt video of him/her hatching!) to record the blessed event.

I just want to shout from the rooftops! I FINALLY CAUGHT ONE HATCH!

Anywayyyyy here are the only pictures I could scrounge up! I wanted to clean the superhatch off and take a decent shot, but the baby gave a mighty squeak, so I decided to take more in the morning!

    Hello world!

Excuse the hatchrite---she told me where I could stick my prodding I'm hoping, and praying that this baby goes yellow like momma!

And this side patterning----it baffles me! Crests look big and droopy! (yay!)

My favorite quote from tonight was when Reid and I were admiring the baby and he said "well, you can definitely tell that its Bill's kid"

And lastly, the parents, for those that don't know them

Just this morning I was telling these babies they needed to hatch already, so I could meet them! Keep on the lookout for baby #2!
