    Jumping spiders (Salticidae) are awesome!

    Funny thing is, if the spider was on the other side of the glass, he'd likely have a go at it.

    "If they (jumping spiders) were the size of cats, they would hunt people!" I forget the biologist that was quoted as saying this, but it is absolutely true!

    I once watched a 1/2" long Phiddipus audax take down a full sized leaf katydid that was easily 10x (or more) it's own size.

    I love this thread, I LMAO and had to show my hubby, who also giggled. That Hopper is totally shaking Moracas! Too funny!

    Lil' guy is still hunting even with the hopper long gone so I gave him a nom! I LOVE jumping spiders! Especially the black ones!
