Mine are named after songs, albums or artists (music). If they have a name when I buy it, I usually keep it

Whatever comes to me lol. Sometimes they remain nameless for long periods until the right name comes to me. Lately it I have been on a Greek god kick.

I have the hardest time choosing names! It usually takes FOREVER unless I have my heart set on one before hand...

I usually search through random name websites on the web until I find something I like. I have a personal pet peeve against common animal names. Which is why my furry critters are Nyah, Schatze, Zahli and Tosca.

All of our uroplatus either have demon names or god/goddess names.

I'm with Ryan and Krystal on this one...something nontraditional and it often takes a while before it comes to me.

well, the crested geckos are being named after brands of gin, because gin is just, so, so wonderful. my pictus geckos are named Jim and Pam, because of my minor obsession with the office, and only one of my four leopard geckos has a name, which was named by my cousin. i'm sure something will eventually come to me. and of course, i gave in and let my boyfriend name my snake Snakey, because even though he's 23, he'll always be 5 at heart.

I have a crestie named Tosca. I wanted something similar to Tuscan (as in the color Tuscan red) then wandered around Wikipedia and saw that in Italian Tuscany is Toscana. Shortening it to Tosca, I saw it was also the name of a Meerkat in Meerkat Manor. So I was sold on it.

I try to name cresties after their colors or otherwise whatever strikes me...
