Well our roaches staple is a roach diet made by Josh's frogs, but for moisture they get fruits/veggies and CGD which they normally get CGD at least once a week if not twice a week. It really is a fantastic gutloader as they are getting a well balance diet with all the vits and mins most species of reptiles need.

The food can be found here: http://www.joshsfrogs.com/category/145/Roaches

Roaches can and will eat anything (in fact, if unfed, they can live off eating the egg flats!)

A high quality diet is important because it gutloads your roaches, BUT with roaches the added bonus is that the more balanced and nutritious the diet, the more females you will get in the colony. If your colony is full of adult males with few females, it may be time to look at another roach feed.
