    Default Faux Chahoua Hatchling!

Decided to try my hand at sculpting. This is my first attempt ever at something like this!

    This is what I used:

After a lot of kneading, shaping and scratching away I got this (pre bake)

    Post bake:

    First coat:

Progressing (I was painting while on the computer, talking to some lovely pangea members--hence the mouse-pad)

    Final product!

The little head caused me so muuuuch trouble! But I think the face came out ok

This was my inspiration! Photo is JASPERSAILS! Hope you don't mind! It was too cute---I had to recreate it!

Oh, and I got paint on my lip that I can't seem to get off! (here's me--the artist responsible for this lol)

Got a bit pattern happy for such a young baby--would sure be essspensive if she were real! Maybe I'll make a couple of fake eggs too. You guys think my female chahoua would appreciate some mellow cagemates? LOL. Maybe I better keep the eggies out, since Chewie mom's guard em.

Let me know what you think! I'll prob take some more pics tomorrow in the light of day!

    Absolutely adorable!

What did you think of the Premo? I have issues with crumblies when I use plain Sculpey, and I'm wondering if this stuff is better.

I have to wait until spring to have my adult female shipped to me (its derrn cold here in WI) so this little one will probably be keeping her viv warm for her. I'm going to make another one in the next week or so. I have a piece of drift wood that my snakes outgrew on a stone base. It'd be perfect for holding a juvie/young adult size chahoua!

Julie, I didn't have any crumble issues at all. Once I get my feet wet with this stuff, I'm going to get the Sculpey "light" medium and make some gekker magnets.

Thanks everybody! This was only my first try so I'm hoping I'll just get better!
