    Default Stuck shed

I have a little one that I noticed hadn't gotten all it's shed off. It got the shed off of it's head but that is it. I soaked it for an hour in a critter keeper (it couldn't climb the walls so it soaked) and tried to rub some off. I then tried putting it in a cup with moist paper towels and a few pieces of stick for 2 hours (this was the next day). I figured I would try to use tweezers to pull the shed but when I went to do that I couldn't find were the old shed began so I thought maybe it got it off. Well looking at it tonight I think I see the line were the old shed is. Any suggestions on how to get this stubborn shed off. All of my babies have shed fine so I'm not sure why this one is having difficulties.

I get a few babies every year that have the same problem. It's not from you doing anything wrong, it just seems to happen with some babies. If the feet and legs don't look constricted by the shed, I would just wait it out, and the next shed should take care of it, because both layers will come off. Just keep the humidity up and keep a close eye on that one.

I had babies last year that got it around their feet and back legs, they couldnt feed and ended up dying. I tried so hard to pull it off, but nothing worked. Best thing is to keep the humidity right, so it rarely happens. Hopefully my AC rack will help with that!

Thanks for the replies. I have been keeping it's humidity up and it is eating so that's good. I have had some with stuck shed on the feet but I gently roll their feet in moist paper towels and that gets the shed off, It just wasn't working with this one. I do feel better though and will keep my eye on the little one.
