    Default Flat head worm.. dangerous?

Ok, so we found this nasty thing creeping around on a soccer chair that had been left folded up on our front porch today. My initial reaction, of course, was to be a bit freaked out. It reminded me of a parasite. I have tried to look it up and it appears to be a flat head or hammer head worm. Supposedly, they are not dangerous to humans or animals. If you have any information to suggest otherwise please let me know. Thank you all for your wealth of knowledge once again.

    Nasty .. right?

Kill it - grind it in to the pavement. They are a worm for asia that comes over in the soil of potted plants they eat the good earth worms and cutting them up will make more.

Ew. That is disgusting. But then again, I hate worms. A list of things that creep me out wouldn't be very long, but parasites are at the top of it and that thing makes me think of one.

Bring on the snakes, but I hope I never come across one of those.

wow I didn't know planarians got that big. I've heard the small ones can learn by eating pieces of other planarians chopped up... like if you teach the chopped up one something, kill it and feed it to others they learn it
