    Default Well, I did it.

I could no longer really put it off.
Pablo is over 23 grams now, and he was getting antsy in his enclosure.
I could hear him flying around it ALL NIGHT LONG. And I didn't have it set up for an older chewie. He only had his slab of cork bark, a plastic hide, two bamboo sticks, and a big giant leaf.

    So, Pablo moved out tonight.
He has moved on to greener pastures (LOTS greener!).
I put him in one of the glass cages that I bought a couple months ago.
He now has a 24"Lx12D"x24H" enclosure.

I am so sad that my adorable little baby chewie is now such a big boy. I feel like he just bought his first house and has moved from an apartment.

I'll have to get pictures. I put his old cage accessories in his new enclosure so that he can still have his scent in there and things he's familiar with.
But he froze up when I placed him in there.
Hopefully he'll become happy and like it. I need to get more cork bark for it.

    Pictures soon, I hope.

    hahahaha.
Actually, I love the little bugger, but he's turned into quite the A-hole, so...
As long his GF isn't out for blood, she'll be good enough for my Pablo.

Here is the Devil in his new enclosure:
He has NOT left this spot:

Yes, it does. And THAT is kind of a pain in the butt.
But that's ok. I'm thinking that I am going to try papertowel for a bit, and then once he's adjusted, I'll use something like cocofiber and/or sphagnum moss (I don't feed live bugs loose in their enclosures).

He sure took off as soon as the lights went out last night!
He was bouncing ALL OVER the enclosure.

Great new set-up, I bet he's gonna love that! Just a quick question, how did you attach the screen on the sides of his old tub? I have the exact same tubs but I've been cutting a large square on the lids and just taping over the screen on the outside to seal it. But the holes on the sides seem like such a better idea...

    Thanks!

Er...I'll have to ask my husband what adhesive he used to make the screen stay.
Whatever it is is completely safe, and we ALWAYS let it dry for 24 hours before we place the gecko in it.

Svetlana is my next gecko that will be making an enclosure move.
She weighed 11.3 grams last night, and I told myself once she hits 12 grams, I'm making the switch to a bigger enclosure for her.
