    Default Bertha's Size

So as some of you may have read I got a heck of a deal on a group of gargs a while back. They were all pretty close to the same weight(25-35g's). Well I have one that is taking off and I wondering is this a normal weight for a garg. From my reading its not and I am wondering if she can keep this up.

Well when I got Bertha she was the biggest of the 4, they were all the same age. She was 35g's and in 3 months she has gone up to an amazing 51g's and is still gaining about 2g's every month. The closest to her weight is a 35g female that is a sibling. At this point she show no signs of slowing, she is still gaining size and is now about 1.5 times the length of any other gecko I have including the cresteds and I have a 50g male and female. She is just massive compared to anything else I have.

So I know Allen Repashy has a 128g female but I am curious is there many garg out there that are above crested weights?

Do have problems finding a mate for her? I am concerned that my male will never be large enough to be a mate for her.

I had a garg that went from about 37 to 50 grams now in about three months. She is with Prinnie right now and is getting spoiled with lots of cgd! Im sure shes gained a bit more.

Do you have any pictures of Bertha? I'm just curious to see how big she really is.

lol I've seen her before, but she is still shocking everytime you see her. Has he been successful in breeding her yet? Or even finding a male big enough? lol

    WOW! Allens female is ENORMOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To get back on subject, I don't have any gargs, but I know that they are generally bigger than cresteds from what I've read/seen.

Sounds like you just have a fatty on your hands :th_wink:
I too would be curious to see weather or not Allen has bred her yet.

    Good luck,
