For the record, I'm not a huge fan of La Quinta. It wasnt too bad, but the experience wasnt great last year either. we didnt get the room that I booked *way* in advance, so it was super inconvenient. (a king size bed isnt the same as two double beds, no matter how you spin it). Plus, there were things that definitely weren't cleaned .. and yeah, i just didnt prefer it. I've stayed at much better hotels.

That stinks, I've stayed there a couple times in the midwest, and they were clean, had nice beds, and one even upgraded us to a honeymoon suite since my fiance' and I arrived at about midnight after 12 hours of driving... the giant 2 person bath was just what we needed! I guess they're not all created equal...

I just got my work schedule for that week and I actually got the days off! Thank god cause i had already booked my hotel.

Well i guess this thread answers my question as to if it's worth going to this show. (I've never been) It's just quite a haul from KC and wasn't sure I'd be worth it.

See ya guys soon! Will be there Thursday! Can find me at the show; my IRCF booth will be right next to Rob Carmichael and Wildlife Discovery Center. I'll have a large beaded lizard (on loan from Rob), a male lewisi hybrid, and hopefully some palearis, for display critters! This will be great to put focus on Guatemala and Grand Cayman!
