    Default New gram scale.

I just got my new CJ-600 scale today from Matt. Everything seems to be working well. My question to all of you is where can I go to get a 500 gram weight to calibrate my scale. Granted I can use 100 nickels to achieve this weight but would much rather have a certified 500 gram weight piece. I live just north of detroit any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks,

    Darren.

ebay is where I would look. Not sure why you are wanting a 500 gram weight though. You can calibrate with less weight.

Well I'm going by the instuctions in the manual. They say to calibrate with a 500 gram weight only. I don't understand why either...maybe has something to do with pre-load for accuracy.

You might just want to take the scale to a jewelery store they have weights there and may just let you borrow one for a few minutes.

I test them and make sure they are all calibrated when they leave here, but if the get knocked around it could throw it off. If it went right to 0 when you turned it on, it is good to go, if not you can calibrate it or send it back.

    Cheers!

    Hey Matt,

I read the instructions first, with that being said I turned on the scale and the OUT2 came up and stayed there. It tells me that a nickels weighs 4.8 and 4.9 most of the time. I don't think I would have to send it back, do you?

    Thanks,

    Darren.
