    Default Insect Cricket Balancer

I've got some Insect Cricket Balancer coming and I didn't order anything else to dust the insects with. Will this be enough or should I pick up some Calcium supplement with some D3?
I'll also be trying to use the GCD.

hmmmmm...perhaps i need to clarify my question or something.
Do I need to use Rep-cal with D3 in addition to the T-Rex Insect Cricket Balancer or does the T-Rex come with all that stuff?
Would I also need to buy the Herptivite?
In addition to the Leopard Gecko ICB I will be attempting to use the GCD.
I know this provides everything the geckos need and the crickets with their
supplement will just be extra so ahh, hell, why am I even asking.

    How about a new question!!??
Do people here prefer to use Repcal/Herptivite combo or the Miner-al
    or the ICB?

i dont know if anyone here realizes but u can overload crested on certain vitamins. this can be toxic to them. i woul recomend reading the bottles or cans, whatever and see what their specific contents are.

I alternate supplements. Herptivite and RepCal. I haven't had a problem as far as calcium goes, but the RepCal does contain vitamin D3 so you have to be careful not to give them too much. I'm always on the hunt for a better calcium supplement, but I've used RepCal for years and my geckos have all been fine.

Speaking of calcium supplements... what all do you guys use? I've been using RepCal for years and it's worked great, however I'm always looking for a better product.

Right you are.....I just swithched over to the "no D3 added" version. To make sure my animals aren't overloaded with D3, I basically make a "cocktail" container including the "no D3" rep-cal, herptivite and just a little bit of plain ol' cricket dust that has D3 added. I usually alternate between days of no dust and dust.

if its not a d3 version youll be needing a UV light. or else they wont be able to process the calcium. also look into pheonix worms or something.. someon eon this forums made a thread about them being VERY high in calcium compared to crickets. also wont haev to worry about over calciumating because only calcium with d3 is dangerous to overload

How long have you been using it? I haven't tried it, but I'm thinking about it. I've never had a problem with the RepCal (with D3), just heard of some people having bad experiences. (overdose)

Just started using the mix this last week. One of my juvies, managed to slip pass me with a semi-kinked tail, and it's already looking better. Dunno if I can attribute this to the change in calcium supply, but something is definitely different.
