    Default What books to buy?

Of course there's the infamous Rhacodactylus book but I was looking a one by Richard D. Bartlett called Crested Geckos and Relatives and I can get both for 32.62 usd.

I want to wait to get a leachie until I know which locality I want and from what I'm told the Rhac book will tell me everything I want to know to make that decision. And since I just got a sweet tip as to where to get some leachies I'd like to get the book and hurry up so I can get back to him. Anyway, what I'm asking is do you think I should go ahead and get both or just wait and get the Rhac book at an expo? I'd also like to know if there are any other books you guys would recommend.

The library's bookmobile is dropping the Bartlett book off at my house tonight so I'll have better advice after 7:30. Yep, it's a hard, hard life.

The Rhacodactylus book is the best by far, followed by the Crested in Captivity by Hamper, and then the Bartlett. I havn't seen the AVS one yet.

Rhacodactylus: Guide to their Selection and Care is like the gecko Bible to me. Lol.

Well even though I haven't read it I'd say yes. You can get it cheaper than 35 usd. I'll be paying basically that for 2 books+shipping.

Have you ever gone everywhere you could think of on the net and asked on forums and done searches and still not found the answer to your question? It happens to me at least once a week. I'm hoping to remedy that by buying the books. Apparently it covers all of the rhacs and not just cresteds. I'm really looking forward to finally getting some in depth info on leachianus and their locales.

I have the one by Hamper and it's pretty helpful. I'd love to get the Rhacodactylus book and I think I'll be picking it up from Matt at the next
Taylor show. I think they're good to have and a little more transportable than this website.
