    Default 2 girls and a question :)

My 2 largest girls, both 45 grams are housed separately.

I tired a long time ago to house them together, but at the time Ginger was larger and and it didn't take long for her to pin Scarlet down and bite her. There was a little bit of a skirmish and a lot of noise so I separated them.

So my question is this, could I try it again now that they are of same weight? Is there a certain way I should try it? I work full time during the week so I am concerned that something could happen while I am gone.

    Thanks in advance.

I would try housing them in the same tank together but with a divider in the middle of it, this way they can get used to one another without possible harm comming to either ne of them.

That's a good idea. They have been housed side by side for months though. I don't know if I would be able to split my exo terra down the middle though, I would have to take the enclosure apart to make it 2 enclosures.

I would just pull the background out for now as that is really the only thing making it impossible to split it into too. With that out of the way you can easily slide a divider inbetween and split it into 2 tanks.

    Try again!
When I put Skyy and Banana in, there was a bit of biting.
But I tried 2 weeks later and they are happy as can be with eachother! I sometimes even catch them sleeping by eachother!

Were they adults or were they younger? Scarlet is about 2 and Ginger is about 3.

My two ladies tussled the very first night they were together. I checked on them constantly with a red pen light, almost that whole night to make sure everyone was fine. It sounded like cats yowling when the went at it. Scared the crap out of me!

Now, they are perfectly fine together. The sleep in the same corner, and I have not heard a peep, or seen a bite mark on either one and they've been together for over a month.

Both are 25-26g btw. Around a year old I think....
