    Default gargoyle questions

    im new to gargoyle geckos and should be picking up a 1.1 pair in october and was wondering if i could house them together and if a reptarium could be used to keep them in.

    Gargoyles can be antagonistic towards cage mates, even breeding pairs. In fact, the male gargoyle often loses his tail to the female after breeding. If you are interested in breeding, 1.1 is not a problem as long as they geckos are of similar weights. Most people recommend about 20 gallons for one adult gecko and +10 gallons for every subsequent addition to the tank.

    As far as a reptarium, I wouldn't use this unless you cover the back and maybe 2 sides with plexi-glass.

    If you dont mind geckos without tails then go for it.
