Thanks Syn... but tonight the tail is more black.
I'm leaving it alone, and letting it dry out pretty much, off the advice of some highly respected members here. So, maybe the tail will dry up and the dead stuff will drop off, and I won't have to mess with it. I'll see what happens.

Oh sheeeesh, Jenn, I really hope you separated the two? Don't over-soak, that can lead to bacterial infections.
Just separate her, keep her in a smal to med KK, on paper towels, give her a few weeks. She should be fine. If you're really worried, get some Nolvasan Cream from the vet and put it on there.

Yep, separated them as soon as I saw Hershey's tail.
I now have ALL geckos living alone, except mating pairs.
Her tail tonight is more black and dried up... so I'll wait it out and see what happens!

Jenn, it took awhile but Alice finally dropped just the bad tail tip earlier this week. Hopefully the same will be for Hershey.

I snapped some photos of Alice's new tail, but they are still on the camera. I'll see if I can get hubby to upload them for me at home.

Alice's tail as of two days ago:

The tip that fell off was about 1/2 inch long.

That looks REALLY raw... what happened to the scab over it. I'd try and keep that moist with Neosporin or Silvadine. Should heal up ok.

The scab fell off on it's own. She doesn't like it touched at all, so I'm gently looking after it.
