Default 1rst litter of the season!

Here are boa babies born yesterday (4/18/08).

    DAM

    DAM & SIRE

These are 3rd generation babies from what I call my "red line" of boas." The grand-sire is the first boa I ever purchased and still kicking at over 15yrs. Dam & sire pictured together in 2007 (she slugged out) and this year produced 16 live, 4 slugs, and 1 still born baby. The babies of this line typically began with nice pinks/reds/purple hues and settle in as adults with deep & dark rich reds and a reddish iridescence. Let me know what you think!

Thanks! True, but if something goes wrong during gestation then you loose the whole litter for boas. It happens lot for various reasons in the boa breeding wrold.

Will do. I am going to try to photo document every clutch and litter this season, but I say that every year and fall far behind. I have another 12-15 boa litters and about the same for the egg-layers as well. I guess it is a good problem to have!

I apologize for playing phone tag with you and never calling back...things been a little crazy lately. If you have any questions on setting up an incubator give me a call or PM me. I use pre-fab incubators now, but have constructed a few set-ups last minute. I am glad that male worked for you!

Unless we act now to stop illegal trade, we will eventually find only a dust bowl, emptied of all its forests and animals.

No doubt; that is in the works! I have help during the shows mostly, but it is still much to juggle with my career (salaried day job).
