    Default Cleaning twistie vines?

I got a few of the twisting vines (the ones that hold a form and have a kind of rubber over them) from the 1$ store. How do I clean them before I put them in a tank?

10% bleach solution - soak or scrub with sponge then rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Maybe over time but it shouldn't bleach it drastically. I use a 10% bleach solution on everything in the tank when I clean it (vines, bamboo, driftwood, plastic plants, etc.) I notice that the bamboo and driftwood suffer some fading or brightening if you will but I can't tell if that's because they are natural products and fade over time and the cleaning spruces them up a bit or if the bleach fades them out ever so slightly.
